New Light

I was lost today Couldn't find my way back home Losing light of day I began to cry. But then back to my feet One my age gave me a smile Helped me find my house by light Gave me laughs then ran away. May, the flower, the purest thought Shook my body till I gave in Down from the windowsill To search the town for her again Running down the moss-stone streets Hiding from the watchers. I headed for the cliffside Ribbons hung from the branches I knew it was you Seemingly waiting for me By the water. - She's always been waiting for you In the great grey valley of the heart.

Boardwalk 04:12
Never seen the water this still before Not since the day I saw you walking along the beach I looked to you for answers, I looked to you in the morning Now the only sound's the moaning of the beach. What is that? That song I heard, I never really learned the chorus But here alone, I finally understand the words she's singing: "All my friends are dead And I'm still standing I've got nothing left But I'm still standing." Left the shore returning my house alone Couldn't get the melody out from my head Still remember lying about my thoughts And the burning in my fingers as I said: "What is that? The song I heard, I never really learned the chorus When I'm alone, I kind of understand the words she's singing: All my friends are dead And I'm still standing I've got nothing left But I'm still standing."

I missed my chance and then you died But then your ghost came and took me on a drive Never to see my house again But on to new places, new lives in the sand. Still, sometimes miss your face... - But I must go I built a house in the forest for the cold All of my birds came in the spring I told the goldfinch to take as much as they need When you come by you sing me songs You learned in purgatory, I accompany with guitar. Still, wish that I could stay... Remember in the summer when you beckoned over here 'Meet me by the river, leave behind the ring' You started choking butterflies and dressing in the mirror I wrote you half a novel and devoted all my things. Writing in the meadow and dancing on the porch Dining in the evening, sing til morning comes Smashing all the dishes, setting everything alight Then take me in your feathered wings on the darkest night. I missed my chance and then you smiled You said 'our new house should hold us for a while' Our last goodbye, still yet to come But when you do go, send my mourning doves. Still spirits can't be named.

Look! 02:43
Look at the little little cat I can't remember the last time I saw one like that. Look at the little little eyes I can't remember the last time I saw one like that. Look at the people in the park Dancing and fooling themselves, they'll get what's coming. Look at the little little cat I can't remember the last time I saw one like that. When I found you walking in the mountains There was no one around to help me see The nearest trees told me you'd been circling round for hours So I took you back to stay with me.

We started like that My hands in my pockets, you telling me I didn't want to go I said my place is here at home. Sleeping in the grass Swimming in the sunshine How I learned to live, going to the sun. Building everything up All our memories grow like vines Under waterfall Yet come eclipse I've lost my mind. I feel everything Through my leaves I breathe it By the burning wood there's nothing to say. When the leaves go down Who is there to steal it No one else but I And my love. Now and then the trees Engulf the village, drawing stares Follow hidden trails I know you'll never fail to hear Always everything Through my leaves I breathe it If there's something more Just... Ask me and I will grow ever more for you All that I want is an everlasting truth Send me your love and I'll never stop the cruise Tell me again what you wanted me to do.

On the fringe In the sand Bitter dandelion weed Sweetness on the silver breeze. You remember these Before the chimes Rock you to sleep. United by the tower bells At the sun's high noon On the 29th of June. The burning fields gave way to dark horses A vision from the seer The first song from the next one. For now you go back home, caress what you can Saw the moon coming back over the great grey hills Oh that vision of a different hand Reaching for me Taking over...

After many, many miles I guess it's just kind of funny All that I need, handed in a letter After many, many trials I started wishing for sadness But then came the light, I chose to respond. If I see another god damn ring Think I'll dig myself a well Think I'll dig myself a well. After many, many smiles I'd like to say you're something else I'd like to take us to the sea Found a whisper in the well Inscribed upon an ancient stone Scrawled in the dark by some passionate hands: "If I had to tear my heart to shreds To make more space for what you'd give I'd build us a house in the warm dark summer night." After many, many miles I think I finally understand I looked to a crowd and I felt a resemblance Faces lost into the night With the scattering of ash Turns the snow black, turns a nod to a goodbye. On the cusp of loving you to death Let you see the words I've left In the wind, in the night, in the red night sky.

After work, behind the store I crashed my car from feeling overwhelmed Today they asked me 'why not, for your health' Or what is left of it I let you go. I clean the house and keep the plants I set the table, keep a welcome glance I am alone when I go back to bed Fuck, I guess I list them off And fuck, I guess I was wrong. Never got to finish this Never saw the southern sunset Sitting with the windows drawn up tight To lastly think of where we are. Eventually I come outside Get over everything, go for a ride Eventually the total up and dies Only then we see the sky And fuck, I guess I was wrong.

I Love Them! 04:26
I saw a thousand spiders on my wall Left that home and burned it down. Moved to the city changing my name Still they found me, webbed my house. I swam to the Russian sun Their cousins beat and poisoned me. I saw a thousand spiders in my room Made them dinner, laughed it out. Brought them presents every other week Knit tiny stockings come Christmas time. I love them every day Their pretty webs and many little legs.

Now that I've found you here Let us take our places Why dont we make make the team And finally be first chosen. In the most honest words That I can bear these thoughts to you I can't recall this warmth Since my earliest memory of Strawberry Fields. Now that I've made my move See if you take it towards my place To the yellow light below Or up, where sun guarantees escape. Yes there's a bed where you lay But there's a fire across the lake Morning will come without doubt I won't let that be my mistake. It tells itself everyday 'There is no mountain too high for me' I held a broken body I'll show you the way to the shoreline.

about

A mix of songs from different places.
