Moon Phases 05:00
as the moon it phases i can see red above the water on the night where everything all its colours rain above us i'm still waking i can see the light above me i'm not aware of the sun i'm still waiting with you the night they came down a million blossoms in the forest what does that make me at the end of the day by the final days of August it still hurts me to say i dream i dive off the pier and swim out i am floating through the ocean breeze and i reawaken awaken awaken as the moon it phases i can see red above the water on the night where everything all its colours rain above us i'm still dreaming for you the night they came down a million blossoms in the forest what does that make me at the end of the day i lived a failure but i found my place in the world waiting silently then i close my- i die on the cliffs and drift down i am scattered over ocean breeze and i reawaken awaken awaken warm light for a thousand centuries we'll be floating in the sea again tiny specks of golden overflowing i die on the cliffs and drift down i am scattered over ocean breeze and i reawaken awaken awaken

Ends 04:12
on our way the body's lowered in the grave it's after school oh just a girl alone again and what do we do when this ends do we go back to the kitchen without him there and what when I can't save everything all the final things i carried sent to the wind to the wind da da da da da now what do we do with this end do we go back to the kitchen without him there when we couldn't save a single thing all the final things i carry thrown to the wind to the wind when you're by my side

Dead 02:11
dead dead dead dead dead body in the room he is not really there anymore what'd you say to me blood has stained the blankets in the end he lives then he's gone irreversible time we had and lost call again to hear silence dead dead dead dead i can't feel it now at the time suddenly i could see the field again where i appear in pictures and in the trees the form that haunts my visions watching over

Golden 04:52
this time holding us back locked in a moment i will remember this you pick up the phone hair in the sand reflecting off the sun skin so golden your silk of yellow muted tones i'm beside myself just watching watching the sun fall with your softly motion refrains this time i can't recall what did i dream of so long ago i've got it all live, don't leave me alone reach over and brush my hair out of my tearing eyes this time but it's not enough how many times did we make it out just barely taste it still so sweetly i know to savour it all up again spit it out in my hands and resolve to make it all the best feeling overwhelmed craving..

on the next day coming up we sat with him still and looked at the birds on the rails on the next day coming up with his weakness he spoke he wouldn't be able to see us go and the answer is often awaited by us and to us it will never be granted and concealed it remains in the reeds of the lakes and i realize i'll have this forever to the ends of the earth to the edge of the moon to the frozen seas of the arctic bloom just to listen to you and to lose the regrets and to know for sure it's ok and you won't ever see them again you won't ever see them again on the next day coming up we enter alone and nobody needs to speak a word and the answer is often awaited by us and to us it will never be granted and concealed it remains in the reeds of the lakes and i realize i'll have this forever to the ends of the earth to the edge of the moon to the frozen seas of the arctic bloom just to listen to you and to lose the regrets and to know for sure it's ok and the green of the grass and the birds on the wire and the lines of the laundry drying and the first wedding dance and the slam of the door and the realization of what you've lost and you wake to the sun on your face and you wake to the sun on your face

Fourth Gate 07:32
a wild blown whisper rushes through the trees from over the mountains a thousand miles away through golden blades of grass thrashing in the wild wind it hits you so suddenly and then it's gone

about

Dedicated to my late grandfather, who passed away last fall after a difficult battle with cancer. After the funeral I had no desire or creative energy to write music, which remained for several months. Only after this long break was I able to start writing again, and once I did I found I had many ideas, that led to me deciding to take on the huge task of making two albums at the same time. Moon Phases is the first of those.
