Smoke 02:50
The last time I saw you You were boarding the train Smoke in your hair Eyes to the ground October wind blew in From the mountain And it waits as the night came down. I ran from the fire Leaving what mattered less A world sits abandoned You called in the next day You called to an empty house Smoke in the night Smoke in the precious night It fell. Leaning on Leaning on. The last time I saw you You were boarding the train Smoke in your hair Eyes to the ground October wind blew in I am leaving I am leaving.

Honey 03:26
With every light, always far away I just need to change You've been leaving me on read I just need to change Every day You are moving away. Every day's the same Every night's the same Every morning same Every morn - alone Every morning comes Every broken one Every time its done Every morning. Like every time, I will run away I just need to change I've been leaving you for days I just need to change Every day You are moving away. Every day's the same Every night's the same Every morning same Every morn - alone Every morning comes Every broken one Every time its done Every morning.

Forever 03:43
What's the name The name of your memory I feel it still Without a doubt Your name Turned around I ran down your city You don't look back Forgot the dream I know. And I know it best And I know you better And I know it best of all I feel it still Without a doubt Your name. Wasn't right This life in the mirror Went out tonight She's out tonight I was. Held the light Between shaking fingers It never changed It never changed. And I know it best And I know you better And I know it best of all I feel it still Without a doubt.

Anything you want I will, I will burn my lies In the end no time I run, run away when it is too late No friend to turn to now, to the setting sun Anything you want I was, I was home but it was too late. On the road again There's nothing in those houses anymore Took the time to mend And left it all behind before it closed Is it difficult I leave alike the wind up from the dirt Passed familiar roads But nothing makes a difference in the end. Your little face was in the mirror I held myself these shaking hands I'll never think as clear The night I saw you writing in the sand And it never leaves The smoke I used to dream out on the mountain Was it ever there The last of any truth we spoke. And you told me. Caught me down again The sand, the only words scattered around Life is long run out I wake until a dream rests in my hands Every single one: the roads, the roses, the houses, the houses all go And I need it And I need it. You told me. Anything you want I will, I will burn my lies In the end no time I run, run away when it is too late No friend to turn to now, to the setting sun Anything you want I was, I was home but it was too late Anything you want I will, I will burn my lies In the end no time I run, run away when it is too late No friend to turn to now, to the setting sun I was home, I was Oh no, I was home -

It's the little things that change Home at seven thirty Listen to the radio die. Throw your keys away No one needs to say it Out the kitchen window and down. Waiting for the rain Every morning now Said it's still the same When the grey comes down When the grey comes down. Cross the gravel road Scream it at the shoreline I will never feel it again. I still see it in my dreams Long forgotten feelings Never really leave me. Waiting for the rain Every morning now Said it's still the same When the grey comes down Waiting for the rain Every morning now.

In June 02:45
I waited for you in the dark Under rainfall You went away from me The end for a long time. In June, June there's a rain that brings us together With every day that you're gone The rain comes harder. In summer time In summer time There's a reason In summer time In summer time There's a meaning For all. I waited for you in the dark Under rainfall You went away from me The end for a long time.

Pearling 04:17
If I knew your name Met you on the carpet I would not dare to You whispered in the parking lot His car If I had one I'd drive you all over California And all the small regrets That we hid in my garage Climbing out my back window And streetlight to streetlight We crossed to the other side. If I knew your name Laughing on the pavement Could not escape it This night is the only thing The trees The music softly sings out in the breeze of California And with the sun asleep Passing every dying light A kid I would close my eyes The streetlights as stars And cross to the other side.

Traveller 03:40
Found a key on the sidewalk What to do but leave You had to leave me You had to go You had to leave me on yourself. None to see in the morning What to do but breathe You had to leave me You had to go You had to make it on your own. Every night I remember Sitting by the phone Where is the answer Where is the sea Where is the night you slammed the door Where is the light Where is the ocean floor. In the cold In the forest In the snow Not a thread remains Of the floating answer Only you Only you Only a traveller.

It's the little things That change Home at seven thirty Throw your keys away Again Every morning Every morning. Light inside my head Your face inside my mind Every moment Every second. On September morning I am sane Alive Even if it's silent The pain you try to hide I feel Every moment Every second. Light inside my head Your face inside my mind. Light inside my head Your face inside my mind Every moment Every second Every night.

about

Originally intended to be completed in July as a 4 song mini-sequel to 2018’s “Sings the Sounds of Summer”, EVERY NIGHT was primarily written and developed from recordings of scratch ideas from previous albums over a four month period of June - September 2019. Overarching themes of transition, loneliness, and regret appear amidst colourful instrumentals, with apt references to late summer/early fall throughout the 9-song track list.
